On 15 April, Campden Home Nursing was delighted to be part of the Seniors Men Pairs Texas Scramble Open at The Vale Golf & Country Club.
A total of 92 golfers took to the course for 18 holes of friendly competition, and it was clear from the outset that this would be a hole-in-one kind of day. Guests were warmly welcomed with fresh tea and coffee, along with homemade cakes kindly prepared by our wonderful volunteers. The perfect start before heading out to the fairways.
Throughout the day, golfers enjoyed bacon butties, on-course activities and plenty of good humour, before returning to the clubhouse for a meal and raffle. With an impressive 29 prizes up for grabs, there was plenty to play for and a real buzz of excitement.
We were also delighted to be joined by two retired National Hunt jockeys and Grand National winners, Carl Llewellyn and Nick Fitzgerald. Both brought great humour and generous support, adding something truly special to the day.
Above all, the event was a fantastic show of community spirit. Thanks to the generosity of everyone who took part, the day was a great success and will help us continue providing our care free of charge to local families.
A big thank you to all involved for driving this event forward and making it such a memorable occasion.
