An Evening of Voices

A special evening of music will take place at St James’ Church, Chipping Campden, on Friday 1 May, bringing the community together in support of Campden Home Nursing.

An Evening of Voices will feature the much-loved choir Vocal High, joined by guest vocal trio As Lark Sings, performing an exciting and beautiful evening of song. The event promises an uplifting night of harmony and connection, with all proceeds supporting Campden Home Nursing’s work providing compassionate end of life care, free of charge, in people’s homes.

The evening is being held in memory of Judy Long, who was cared for at home by Campden Home Nursing. Her daughter-in-law, Paula Evans, who, along with her husband and co-musical director, has organised this concert with Vocal High, lives locally and is part of the Evesham and Pershore community alongside many members of the choir.

Paula said:
“Campden Home Nursing made it possible for Judy to remain at home, surrounded by the people she loved, at the end of her life. The care was exceptional and deeply compassionate. This concert is our way of saying thank you and helping ensure other families can receive that same support. It would mean so much to see the church full on the night.”

In a personal tribute, a selection of Judy Long’s artwork will also be on display and available to purchase during the evening.

The event offers something for everyone. A pre-concert singing workshop at 6 pm welcomes all abilities, giving participants the chance to sing together. The concert begins at 7:30 pm, with refreshments available.

Ticket sales are building, with around 100 already sold, but more are needed to fill the church and maximise fundraising for the charity.

Campden Home Nursing, an independent local charity, has been providing Hospice at Home care for 35 years, supporting patients and families across the community during the most difficult times.
