Campden House Open Garden Raises Funds
Thank you to everyone who visited Campden House Open Garden and helped make the event such a success. Many visitors were discovering the gardens for the first time and were full of praise for the beautiful setting. One visitor summed up the experience perfectly, describing it as a “fabulous garden, fabulous setting.”
The gardens of Campden House are truly special. Inspired by the vision of Sir Baptist Hicks, they include an English Renaissance garden overflowing with flowers, a formal terrace, topiary gardens, sparkling lakes, ornamental woodland walks and spectacular countryside views. Throughout the two-day event, visitors enjoyed exploring the gardens, admiring the colourful borders and discovering new sights around every corner.
The charming kitchen garden was looking particularly beautiful, while the June flowers were abundant and at their best. Whether visitors were wandering through the woodland, pausing beside the water or taking in the sweeping views, there was something to delight everyone.
Despite an uncertain forecast, the weather was kind. The occasional shower only seemed to make the colours even more vibrant.
Campden Home Nursing gives our sincere thanks to Susanne and Thomas for generously opening their extraordinary gardens and choosing to support Campden Home Nursing.
The charity would also like to recognise the incredible contribution made by its volunteers. Coinciding with Volunteers’ Week, the event provided a timely reminder of the vital role volunteers play in supporting the charity’s work.
From baking delicious cakes and scones to setting up tables, serving refreshments, washing up and clearing down at the end of the day, volunteers worked tirelessly behind the scenes. Their dedication helped create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for visitors throughout the weekend.
Many guests commented on the quality of the homemade refreshments available in the Tithe Barn. Behind every slice of cake and every cup of tea was a volunteer generously giving their time to support the charity.
Events such as Campden House Open Garden simply are possible only with the support of volunteers. Their enthusiasm, kindness and hard work helped turn the event into a fantastic fundraising success.
Every ticket purchased, cup of tea enjoyed and slice of cake served helped raise funds for Campden Home Nursing’s work providing Hospice at Home care, bereavement counselling and wellbeing support across the local community.
Thank you to everyone who visited, volunteered, baked, supported and helped make Campden House Open Garden such a memorable occasion.
