A massive ‘thank you’ to Richard Thomas and his team, who have just raised a whopping £2,034 for Campden Home Nursing, by cycling CARTEN100 2023, a gruelling 109 mile bike ride from Cardiff to Tenby.
Richard completed the route with his dad, Mike, and a group of eight friends. He said: “I’m beyond proud of each and every one of the team for not only throwing themselves into the challenge and training, but for completing the gruelling 109 mile route.”
Richard raised the money in memory of his grandma, Mrs Caldicott, who was nursed by us last year. His team was of mixed experience, fitness levels and ages. Richard said: “My Grandma’s mantra was ‘I can and I will. There’s no such thing as can’t’, which I know helped me and my Dad get through the most challenging climbs. Thank you to each and every one of you who donated & who offered us words of encouragement. Every contribution means a hell of a lot to me.”
Speaking of the care we provided for his grandma, Richard said: “The support and care your team provided to my mum, Judy Thomas, and family in my grandma’s last days is something me and family will always be in your debt for. You are an incredible bunch of people, who should be so proud of the work you’re doing!”
Thank you Rich for fundraising for us. We are so grateful for the support.
