Complimentary Therapies

Complementary Therapies can help to reduce the stress and anxiety associated with cancer or other serious illness.

They help to reduce the feeling of panic by calming the mind and providing relaxation and the physical benefits of complementary therapies can include easing tense muscles and reducing pain.

Aromatherapy and reflexology can help to aid sleep and leave you feeling revitalised.
Campden Home Nursing have recently teamed up with Hayley Kaye at Hidden Beauty in Chipping Campden to pay for courses of treatments for local people with a terminal illness.
Therapies are available to anyone within Campden Home Nursing’s boundaries and this includes aromatherapy, reflexology, Indian head massage, and other bespoke treatments.

There is no charge for receiving approved Complimentary Therapies provided by Hidden Beauty in association with Campden Home Nursing, if you would like to speak to a member of our team please ring 01386 840505 or contact us for more information.

A recent patient that we have helped with complimentary therapies had this to say:

The Magic of Haley

“I was diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer a year ago and have been on fortnightly chemotherapy since then. Early on, the effects of the cancer and side effects of drugs was quite minimal, making me tired, but over time I have struggled with breathlessness and aching in my lower legs both of which make mobility difficult.

I was recommended to see Haley from Hidden Beauty to try out Reiki, which might help relax me.

I looked into it and to be honest I could not see how it would work, but in my situation, anything was worth a try.

The first few sessions were relaxing (I fell into a deep sleep on one occasion) but I was not sure that much more was achieved. However more recently I have discovered that when focus is directed, my breathlessness is eased and my leg ache has been alleviated. It’s not a permanent fix, but even a few days of relief is better than nothing. I now come away from Haley knowing I will feel more comfortable in some way. I let her discover where I most need the focus and she hasn’t got it wrong yet.

Whether it is the very friendly welcome at the salon, the calmness Haley exudes, or that the magic of Reiki is real (I still don’t really understand how it works) I would thoroughly recommend giving it a try. It does something good for me.

In closing I would like to thank Campden Home Nursing who have generously offered me a number of Reiki sessions with Haley. Your support is very grateful and is helping me get though the struggle”
