A great day on the green: Captain’s Charity Day at Broadway Golf Club

We were delighted to take part in Captain Nigel Robinson’s Charity Day at Broadway Golf Club, one of several fantastic fundraising events being held this year in support of our cause, as we’re honoured to be the Captain’s chosen Charity of the Year.

The day saw an excellent turnout, with 80 players taking part in the morning round and a further 68 players joining for the afternoon session. Our fundraising team was positioned on the 10th Tee, where the Tombola attracted plenty of attention and support from golfers throughout the day.

Thanks to the generosity of everyone involved, we raised an amazing £697 from the Tombola and a further £70 from the auction of an art print – a wonderful total that will go directly toward supporting our ongoing work.

The afternoon Mixed Scramble was hotly contested and eventually won by the team of Sue Barker, Camilla Haines, our co-chair of trustees, Irene Hawkes and Elain Hickin – congratulations to them on a great round!

A huge thank you goes to everyone who supported the day, especially our incredible fundraising volunteers, Lynne & Philip Highy, who organised and ran the fundraising efforts so brilliantly. We’re very grateful for the continued support from Broadway Golf Club and its members.

We’re thrilled to share that, so far this year, Broadway Golf Club has raised over £2,300 for Campden Home Nursing through a series of fantastic events and activities. Their continued support means the world to us.

Stay tuned for more updates from upcoming events as the fundraising year continues!
