The newly renovated Men in Sheds (and our welcoming She-Shed) officially reopened on 7th January 2025. Sessions are held twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm.
Run entirely by volunteers, the shed is an inclusive and welcoming space for people of all backgrounds and experiences. It’s designed to improve the health and well-being of members by providing a safe, supportive environment where they can make friends, socialise, and simply enjoy each other’s company. Think of it as a youth club—but for adults!
Our shed (a transformed double garage) is a place where members can work on a variety of projects, from building and restoring to fixing and mending. Whether it’s crafting bat and bird boxes to sell in the community, repairing a broken chair, or restoring an old table, there’s always something creative to do. And all of this happens while building meaningful connections with others.
If you’d like to join us or learn more, get in touch—we’d love to hear from you!
What is Men in Sheds?
Men in Sheds are community spaces where people come together to connect, chat, and create in a relaxed, welcoming environment. Imagine the activities you might do in your garden shed—now share them with others over a mug of tea and a slice of cake! Everyone is welcome.
Members of the shed bring valuable practical skills to work on both community and personal projects. From crafting and repairing to building and restoring, there’s always something to do. However, the true value of Men in Sheds lies in the uplifting camaraderie and mutual support that comes from simply spending time together. It’s a space where friendships flourish, and well-being thrives.
