Ebay Volunteer

Are you an expert Ebayer? We are looking for a volunteer to help us create a Campden Home Nursing on-line Ebay shop to help generate income for the charity. You will need to be able to know how to upload photos and descriptions, set prices and be willing to make trips to the post office to send items to customers. You’ll be working with our Shop Manager, but most of the work can be done from home or, if you prefer the hot desk in our office. Shop Volunteer

We are often looking for volunteers to work in our charity shop at Lower High Street, to help to sort donated items, serve customers and answer general enquiries from the public. If you’d like to meet new people, learn new skills and join our team of friendly volunteers, we’d love to hear from you. Volunteer Trustee – Fundraising 

Time Commitment:  

An initial 3-year term. 

Quarterly meetings and 1 Audit sign off Meeting per year. 

Fundraising Sub – Committee Meetings as needed. 

Event support when needed.

Summary of role: 

As a charity trustee with fundraising expertise, you will play a pivotal role in providing strategic direction to our fundraising efforts. The role requires a passionate and dedicated individual with experience in fundraising, and a genuine commitment to the clause and objectives of our organisation. As we embark on our new strategy with a focus on fundraising, we need to strengthen our board with a new trustee with dedicated expertise in fundraising and extensive knowledge of philanthropic giving to help guide our efforts. 

Principal Responsibilities: 

  1. Fundraising Strategy: Collaborate with fellow trustees and SLT to develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy aligned with the organisation’s missions and goals.  
  1. Donor Engagement: Support the cultivation and maintaining of relationships with existing donors while also helping to identify and engage new potential supporters. 
  1. Events: Support the planning and execution of fundraising events, campaigns and other initiatives, attending where possible. 
  1. Proposal Development: Support the Fundraising Manager to identify grant opportunities, prepare compelling grant proposals, pitch documents and other outputs to secure funding for key projects. 
  1. Outreach and Networking: Represent Campden Home Nursing (CHN) at external events and engage with relevant communities, businesses and other stakeholders to raise awareness and support for our mission. 
  1. Financial Oversight: all trustees must actively participate in the signing off of budgets, reviewing financial reports and ensuring that fundraising activities align with the organisation’s financial goals, mission and values. 
  1. General: Other trustee responsibilities include reading board papers, contributing to key issues, supporting strategic planning, helping to connect the charity with potential new partners and supporters, and contributing on other issues on which you have expertise. 

Skills and Experience 

  1. Proven expertise in fundraising in charity, public, and /or corporate sectors, with a successful track record of achieving and exceeding fundraising targets. 
  1. Expertise and knowledge of marketing, corporate fundraising and /or major donor giving and advantage, including successful organisation of fundraising and cultivation events and other interactions with donors. 
  1. Experience in designing or delivering effective fundraising strategies for charities and or corporations. 
  1. Strategic vision and an ability to think creatively. 
  1. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. 
  1. The capacity to attend relevant meetings and a willingness to get involved in between Trustee meetings. 
  1. An ability to work effectively as a member of a team with a sense of collective responsibility, mutual support and an ability to take decisions for the good of CHN in line with the requirements of Charities Commission.
