This year we have been focusing on recognizing and rewarding our volunteers and staff, and the person that we have chosen as our Employee of the Year is Sue Herd, a Coordinator on our Nursing team.
Sue joined Campden Home Nursing at the beginning of 2019, and in this short time she has proved herself to be invaluable. As a retired District Nurse we knew that Sue would bring all the clinical expertise to her community nursing role but no one was prepared for all the other things she would bring. Her enormous enthusiasm and passion for her job and the charity and her inability to sit still (!) means that she is constantly going the extra mile. She has strengthened our relationship with many of our surgeries, informing them of our services and is responsible for some of our increases in nursing hours. In between assessing patients she is dropping off collection boxes to shops and retail outlets who previously didn’t have them increasing our income and awareness in areas of Worcestershire that we nurse in.
Sue will always step up to cover shifts, pop in to do bereavement support visits with families she has been involved with if she is passing the door and put her uniform on and go searching for raffle prizes. We can also attribute an increase in charity shop sales to Sue since she came on board!
Thank you Sue for all that you do.
