This December, Campden Home Nursing marked the second anniversary of the Bereavement Café, an initiative that has provided comfort and connection to countless individuals navigating grief. Nestled within Jecca’s House in Chipping Campden, the café has become a sanctuary for healing and friendship.
The anniversary celebration was a heartwarming occasion, brimming with Christmas cheer and delicious cake. Regulars from the Bereavement Cafe came for the afternoon, but we also welcomed visitors from the local area, Pershore and Bredon.
Cathy Turner, Wellbeing and Bereavement Services Manager, expressed her pride in the café’s achievements:
“The café has provided a great source of support and it’s wonderful to see the friendships that have grown here.”
Guests shared their gratitude for the café, describing it as a place where they feel understood and supported. One attendee remarked, “It’s so welcoming, and it’s been lovely meeting others in the same situation.”
The Bereavement Café offers a safe and supportive space where individuals can share their stories, find solace, and form lasting connections. Its inclusive environment has proven particularly valuable during the holiday season, providing a sense of community when it is often most needed.
