Hats off to staff at Campden Home Nursing’s Charity Shop at Lower High Street, Chipping Campden, as they prepare to celebrate the shop’s first birthday on Saturday 19th October.
The shop, which sells a selection of high-quality clothing, including many designer labels, bric-a-brac and housewares, will be commemorating the date with cupcakes and balloons on Saturday 19th October, between 10am-5pm. Shoppers are invited to join them to help them celebrate. As part of the celebrations, there will be Gold Star Treasure Hunt – ten designer label items will be hidden throughout the shop, all with a gold star birthday bonus discount.
The shop, hailed as a great success by locals and Campden Home Nursing, recently enjoyed its best month ever since opening nearly year ago. It has exceeded the charity’s expectations in terms of sales and growth in its first year, delivering a healthy income to help fund the charity’s free ‘hospice at home’ services to those living in and around Chipping Campden.
Helen Makaritis, General Manager of Campden Home Nursing said: “I couldn’t be prouder as the shop goes from strength to strength. Our shop has huge local support which I believe is the locals’ love for the charity and the services our nurses provide to people in and around Chipping Campden. Huge thanks to manager, Kate McPherson-Smith and her team, all the wonderful volunteers who give their time and talent to the shop, as well as those who support the shop by donating and shopping with us.”
