Volunteers play a vital role at Campden Home Nursing

Volunteers play a vital role at Campden Home Nursing…they give time, energy and compassion so generously, supporting the charity in countless ways. From helping in our shop and with our events, to baking, gardening, fundraising and providing office support behind the scenes, their contribution helps make it possible to provide end of life care in the community as well as bereavement and wellbeing support.

Every volunteer brings their own story and motivation, but all share a commitment to helping others. We are deeply grateful to everyone who chooses to volunteer.

Meet a few of our volunteersThank you to all our volunteers.

James volunteers in our charity shop on Monday afternoons. “Being retired, I enjoy giving something back. I serve customers and help out in general. The shop team is friendly and welcoming. I enjoy meeting visitors and getting to know more locals. The shop is a destination for so many people who come to Chipping Campden.”

Rosie and Val volunteer for us most weeks, serving coffee and cake, offering a listening ear, and bringing humour and warmth. Also, Rosie helps at our Bereavement Café and Val at our Dementia Friendly Café. Val says: “After volunteering, I always feel better than when I arrived. It is good to help others and to spend time with kind people.”

Lynne and Philip support our events and help to raise our profile in Worcestershire. Last month, they organised the Honeybourne Coffee Morning, among many other contributions. They say, “We really enjoy giving our time to such an excellent cause. Working with the team is rewarding.”

Curious about volunteering? Join us at our Spring Volunteers Party on Tuesday 14 April, 5:30 – 7 pm at Jecca’s House. It is a chance to celebrate our wonderful volunteers and to find out more if you are interested in getting involved. If possible, please let us know if you are coming.
