Campden Home Nursing and Chipping Campden School are excited to announce a joint fundraising project. A Christmas Card Competition, sponsored by Cotswolds’ printing group, Vale Press, will be open to all students at the school and will raise funds for the local charity and the school’s new Performing Arts Centre.
The winning Design
Students will be in with a chance of winning a £50 Amazon voucher, and all abilities are encouraged to enter. Four winning designs will be announced on 23 October. They will then be printed and available to purchase in packs of eight at the beginning of November.
The artwork will be judged by Trustee of Campden Home Nursing, Elizabeth Milnes-James, local performer and writer, Keyna Doran and Sara Chandler, retired Vice Principal, and teacher at the school.
Helen Makaritis, General Manager of Campden Home Nursing said: “It’s been a difficult year for everyone in the town. We have had to shelve many of our plans to celebrate our 30th year, including our Pearl Ball. So, we wanted to do something instead to lift people’s spirits and spread some Christmas cheer. We are really looking forward to working with the school and seeing all of the entries.
Niki Crew, art teacher at the school, said: “The students are very enthusiastic about the competition and we look forward to showcasing their talents. They can use any medium, so I’m sure we’ll see some imaginative and creative artwork.”
Thanks to our sponsor!
As Vale Press has kindly offered to sponsor the cost of printing the cards. Therefore, most of the money raised to be split between the school and the charity. Chairman of Vale Press, Lynden Stowe, said: “We are really pleased to be working with both Campden Home Nursing and Chipping Campden School and look forward to printing the winning entries.”
